What To Expect
What to expect from a therapy session can vary depending on the approach, the goals of the individual, and the dynamics between the therapist and the client. However, the logistics behind how I conduct my work is as follows:
My sessions are exclusively via a digital platform. In my first session, I will perform an anamnesis, where I gather background information including details of upbringing, family relationships, and why you, your child, or your family have chosen to engage in therapy. We will have an opportunity to speak about past experiences with therapy, if any, which will allow me to gain a better understanding of how to best structure sessions going forward, and discuss your expectations, goals and possible concerns.
Between sessions, I may suggest “homework” designed to develop key skills and work on critical areas before we meet again.
For each session, you will receive a screening questionnaire from Norse Feedback to assess your current state of symptoms and ability to cope, which we will observe over time and discuss.
